Starting at the bridge on little Caribou (5kms from Armstrong) proceed to Caribou Lake, Caribou River and west across Smoothrock Lake. Paddle north on Berg River and explore Whitewater Lake (Ogoki Lodge and the Wendell Beckwith cabins). Exit south through McKinley Lake and Smoothrock to the Boiling Sand River and Tamarack Lake. Then west to Gnome and Bath Lake. Then comes your choice of three endings:
Take a (pre-booked) train from Bath Lake back to Armstrong (a 12 day 175km trip);
Or portage across the Rairoad tracks from Bath to Collins Lake and paddle to the native settlement of Collins. From there catch the train back to Armstrong (a 12 day 180 km route).
Or portage across the RR from Bath to Collins Lake, Shawanibis Lake and south through Boulder Lake to Kenakskaniss Lake and the downstream end of the Kopka River. Paddle to the take-out at Bukemiga Lake on Highway 527, where you can pick-up your parked vehicle or a prearranged shuttle. A 15 day 223km (138 mile) trip.
